Our client is seeking a software Developer to join their team in Cambridge, they are a fabless semiconductor company.

Skills & Qualification:
- Experience with software for electronic systems, embedded software or experience working with 4G or 5G applications.
- C/C++, Python or other programming languages (must have a good understanding in at least one).
- Knowledge of data structures, algorithms and software design principles.
- Debugging skills and software testing.
- Experience with software development tools, development methodologies and Vision control systems.
- A bachelors degree in Electronic Engineering or similar.

LOCATION:       Munich, Germany
SALARY:         Negotiable
DURATION:       1 year contract
REMOTE:         2 days onsite/3 days remote OR 1 week onsite/3 weeks remote

Job Summary:
This vacancy is within the Functional Safety Group in MCU/MPU Engineering group. Candidates with strong motivation to learn the evolving field of Functional Safety and get hands-on experience in the associated practices are desired.

Required:
•       Master’s degree or PhD in Electronics/Electrical/Computer Engineering or equivalent.
•       Experience in Micro-controller and Micro-processor Architecture
•       Hands-on experience in at least one of the following:
-       Automotive system architecture knowledge such as Electric Vehicle, Autonomous driving System, or In-Vehicle Networking architecture
-       AI/ML HW Accelerator Architecture
-       RISC-V ISA
-       Functional Safety, Reliability, Diagnostic and Test
-       Embedded Software for critical system
•       Strong motivation to learn about Functional Safety and associated practices.

Preferred:
•       Experience in semiconductor product development (IP Design, Verification, DFT, Physical Implementation, Tools & Methodology, etc).
•       Experience in embedded system and software development.
•       Experience with ISO26262 or IEC61508
•       Experience in Safety Analysis Techniques (FTA, DFA, FMEDA).
•       Experience in System Level Modeling or Application development.

Responsibilities:
•       Develop System level Safety Use Cases using System Engineering technics
•       Develop System, SoC, and Software level safety architecture
•       Perform System, SoC, and Software safety analysis
•       Review and develop IP, SoC and Software related Safety work products compliant to ISO26262.
•       Participate in Safety Audits and Assessments.
•       Support customers to use safety work products developed by the companies Safety Team.
•       Develop disruptive Safety Architecture for Long-Term Innovation
